WORCESTER, Mass. (September 20, 2022) – Multiscale Systems has been awarded $250,000 through the Massachusetts Manufacturing Accelerate Program (MMAP), operated by the Massachusetts Center for Advanced Manufacturing (CAM) at the MassTech Collaborative.

This co-investment grant enables small to medium-sized manufacturers to meet the demands of Industry 4.0 through the acquisition of capital equipment. It encourages the manufacturing of new technologies and innovations that align with key industries in the Commonwealth, such as semiconductors, battery technologies, additive manufacturing, defense, and aerospace.

The 15 program winners, totaling $3,426,758 in grants, were announced on September 16, 2022 at the Massachusetts Manufacturing Mash-Up by the Secretary of Housing and Economic Development, Mike Kennealy.

CAM’s MMAP will allow Multiscale to upgrade its short-run production equipment to full scale, and to expand its proprietary contact-free, non-destructive computer vision quality management systems for thermoplastic composite quality control.

“We’re excited to grow our business by leveraging new equipment to expand our capabilities while delivering new advanced material products. All of which will allow us to better serve our customers,” said Jesse Silverberg, CEO and Research Director.

As part of the program, Multiscale Systems will be partnering with the Venture Forum, which will provide additional entrepreneurial support.

Complementing the award win, Multiscale Systems has been ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100:2016 certified by NQA, and is NIST SP 800-171 compliant. Multiscale is committed to its Quality Policy, with focus on customers, continuous improvement through a quality management system, and compliance with all applicable regulatory and on-regulatory requirements.

Multiscale Systems produces industrial innovations through technical engineering services and a robust in-house R&D program. The company specializes in metamaterial composites and focuses on advanced manufacturing. We apply creative ideation and intense technical validation to solve real-world advanced material problems.
