“Making it in Massachusetts” Manufacturing Award

Multiscale Systems was honored as a 2024 recipient of the “Making it in Massachusetts” Manufacturing Award, presented by the Massachusetts Legislative Manufacturing Caucus. This award is given in recognition of outstanding leadership skills in the manufacturing industry.

Jesse Silverberg, Multiscale CEO and Research Director, accepted the award on behalf of the company at the 9th Annual Manufacturing Awards ceremony held on Wednesday September 25th at the Massachusetts Manufacturing Mash-Up at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, MA.

This year’s awards were presented to over 50 manufacturers from an array of industries, selected by legislators from across the Commonwealth, with Multiscale being by nominated by David LeBoeuf, State Representative for the 17th Worcester District.

Essential Engineering Solutions

Founded in 2018, Multiscale Systems is a Worcester-based R&D and manufacturing company providing essential engineering solutions to advanced industries through the used of next-generation manufacturing methods and high-performance materials. Our focus on metal hybrid manufacturing, thermoplastic composites, and heat-resistant alloys is providing invaluable services to customers looking for more flexible, low-volume, custom components.

The Legislative Manufacturing Caucus consists of over 70 legislators from across the Commonwealth. The Caucus is focused on strengthening the manufacturing sector by fostering innovation, expanding apprenticeship opportunities, and supporting workforce training for employees in key manufacturing sectors. The Caucus works to connect start-ups and established manufacturers with valuable resources.

Manufacturing Mash-Up

Held alongside the awards ceremony, the Massachusetts Manufacturing Mash-Up is an annual event featuring networking opportunities, demonstrations, vendors, and discussions centered on manufacturing innovation and trends. It offers a unique platform for industry professionals to collaborate and share insights.

This year, Jesse participated in a panel on small businesses and start-ups partnering with the U.S. Department of Defense, alongside Louise Sengupta, Director of Business Development at Northrop Grumman; Carl Horstmann, CEO of Mass Tank; and Gregg Jessen, Distinguished Fellow of Technology at MACOM.
